CAMPAIGN FOR WOMEN AND CHILD RIGHTS
Management Training for Members/Leaders of SHGs
Vikas Sansthan organized two-days training for members and leaders of SHGs on SHG management and functionality on February 25 and 26, 2019, at Vikas Ashram. In all 59 participants from all six locations, Azadnagar, Shyamnagar, Ramnagar, Mehtabnagar, Vijaynagar and Charbagh attended the training.
The objectives of the training were:
- To explain in detail about saving and credit and loan distribution mechanism through SHGs for the members of SHGs
- To educate about functional aspects of SHGs – memorandum of SHGs, minutes of meeting, etc.
- To link SHGs with bank and micro finance institutions
Points of Discussion
- importance of SHGs towards elimination of child labour by enhancing social and economic status of families of child labour
- Booking keeping and maintenance of SHGs
- How to do bank linkage of SHGs
- How to ensure timely saving by members of SHGs
Results
- Families of child labour will do regular saving in their respective SHGs
- Members and leaders of SHGs become aware about opening of bank account and benefits from bank to SHGs
